In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model that was characterized by a slim case, narrow indexes and a steel bracelet. Its wide, horizontal lug typical for the time was perfectly integrated into the flat barrel-shaped housing. A few years later, Tissot had the name PRX registered. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". The "X" stands for the Roman number ten and for the pressure of 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of 100 meters, up to which the watch remains waterproof.

In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX as a modern interpretation of the predecessor model.The 316L stainless steel case of the Tissot PRX has a diameter of 40 mm. It has a light tonneau shape and is adorned with a narrow, round bezel. On the sides, vertically brushed, rounded finishes alternate with polished facets.

The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 is equipped with a waffle pattern dial combined with nickel-plated indexes and hands. The lines of the case extend directly and without the use of traditional horns in the bracelet. Its most striking feature is its series of large members that claim the entire width. Its flexibility and suppleness make it a real success ergonomic designs and convey an extraordinary wearing comfort. The satining on the outsides is just as carefully executed as the polishing of the inner surfaces.

The hands of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 are provided with a SuperLumiNova® coating and have been placed on top of each other with only a very small distance. This allows the dial to be brought closer to the watch glass. The optical effect thus achieved by the Tissot designers makes the case of the watch appear even flatter and slimmer than it actually is.

The watch has a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a visible bottom made of mineral glass. Your Swiss Made automatic movement with up to 80 hours power reserve is provided with a Nivachron spiral spring, which is known for its outstanding magnetic field reliability.

This version of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 has a 40-millimeter 316L stainless steel case with rose gold-coloured PVD coating. It forms a perfect contrast to the dark blue dial with indexes and date display. The massive and flexible 316L stainless steel bracelet – also provided with rose gold PVD coating – features a quick-release system and a butterfly folding clasp with pushers.
